The first thing you should know about me is that I learned to program at age 7. I guess that’s what happens when you live in Escondido Village (look it up).
Armed with an IBM PCjr (64KB of memory!) and Atari 2600 (which I still own) I started down the path which would eventually lead me to the glamorous world of high-tech.
I’ve always had a passion for technology and gadgetry, which in recent years mainly translates into building web applications with sleek user interfaces, and an embarrassingly large and dusty collection of Palm Pilots, double-cassette tape recorders, and various random handheld devices (along with a good-sized hole in my bank account).
So, having been in the web biz for over 11 years and serving in a variety of roles at Conduit since it was founded (most recently as Head of Product), I now officially hold the esteemed title of Conduit’s Chief Geek (how cool a title is that?).
My focus right now is reaching out to developer communities and connecting with our publishers in order to hear what it is YOU guys need, and pushing the evolution of our product based on that. That pretty much officially makes me one of the good guys (although internally in the company not everybody may think so :).
Oh, and somewhere in that mix, I make sure to leave some spare time for mountain biking, running, and a daily dose of Howard Stern.
If you're wondering about the name of this site, @guy is my username on Twitter, which is pretty much the best way to reach me these days - so it's only fit that my entire online persona be identified in the same way.
I also have a site called LightenApp which is all about apps, mainly iPhone apps.
If you want to discover new and interesting apps, check it out.
I hope you enjoy what I have to say. If so let your friends know, if not let me know.
I frequently update my Twitter, Facebook, and Google Plus. If you're interested add me there:
